i’m not sure… i’ll get to the feedback. i’m missing a few videos, i only got 4.
nope!
well, i haven’t seen it yet and i’ve heard a lot of mixed things about it, but i do love the movie and i think the live stunting sounds like it could be cool; i guess i’ll have to do more research!
You can send it, but I won’t publish anything offensive or if a contestant messages me and tells me not to publish opinions
i didn’t see your video in the tag! i’m sorry, i don’t know if there’s something wrong with it or something or i would’ve reblogged it. message me off anon if you are still interested
Top 6! This week, and I did this challenge last time but i still think it’s interesting, sing a song meant for the opposite gender. This presents an interesting challenge and dares you to explore a range that may be different from your own.
Also, name your 3 biggest SINGING (not acting) inspirations. They can be all Broadway, all not Broadway, or a combination, it doesn’t really matter. I just always like to hear who people admire and aspire to sing like!
WOW! i was somewhat dissapointed that so many people applied and i only got 7. But i truly think that the seven that sent videos are PHENOMENAL! this is going to be awful for me, ugh. anyways, here goes!
Carrie : I’ve always known that you have a really pretty and unique vibrato, and that is an absolute strong suit for you! You seemed to be a little quiet, but that might’ve been because the camera was far and the piano was loud. Keep working on supporting your voice so you can get a stronger sound, but other than that, great job!
Sylvia- You have an extremely unique voice that I really love. You can hit notes that sometimes even I can’t get down to, and you put so much character and emotion into the song! Not only that, your story was really inspirational and enjoyed hearing it!
Lacey : I’ve always known you to have a lovely voice and this time was no exception. You sounded like the recording in places, but I definitely detect uniqueness, and you have such a clear bell voice that so many people strive to have.
Katie : You have really nice tone in your voice, and you have very good pitch and tone! One thing I would say is that there are some low notes in the song that you avoided. That is okay at times, but during an audition, people might wonder what you are doing. You may want to choose a song that fits your voice type a little better in the future. Other than that, really nice job!
Witos- I remember the beginning of the last tumblr idol, and WOW what a change! You support so much better and your tone and pitch have become near perfect. The characterization and acting out the scene was so creative, and i really enjoyed that. In some places, you went a teensy bit flat, but really, that’s my only criticism.
Kevin- You have such a characteristic voice and I loved how you put the emotion into such a sad song. Your vibrato is less out of control than I remember, so that is really great! The rich tone in your voice really brings out the character, so I think this was a really good choice for you.
Nora- You have SUCH a powerful belt, which is something that is really handy in singing. Not only that, your belt is controlled with near-perfect vibrato, and it makes for a song that is extremely fun to listen to because you never know where it’ll take you next. One thing you could work on is the pitch in some places, but really, it was an amazing first video.
ELIMINATION: I really hate to have to do this as there is only seven of you. I’m sure it would’ve been easier if everyone who applied actually made a video, but i can’t control that. You were all so good and it was so tough for me to have to eliminate one of you. Unfortunately go-go-hachiko (Katie), will be eliminated this week. I’m so so so sorry, and i feel i really needed to get to know your voice more because you really do have SUCH a pretty sound to it, but i think it was just the song choice. I’m positive you will go far if you stick to songs meant for higher sopranos, as from what i heard you had great pitch and clear high notes! All the best in your future theater endeavors, and if you ever want to post another video i’ll gladly give you more advice. Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH for competing. :)
